Bruce McKenney, director for The Nature Conservancy’s Development by Design Program, will speak at Duke on "Development by Design: Blueprints for a Greener Footprint" at 10 a.m. November 6.
McKenney will go over how we face a central development challenge: how to meet demand for a growing global population with expanding consumption levels while ensuring the health of lands, waters, and the climate for future generations. He'll discussthe urgent need for change, including advancements in science and policy, and key areas for research and development.
